Quote:

"We bury love,
Forgetfulness grows over it like grass,
That is a thing to weep for, not the dead.
"

-- Alexander Smith --

"Live life as it should be,
See with the eyes of a child,
Hear every beat of life ,
Feel from deep within the heart
And smell the breath of love and life
Every second of the day."

Going the distance ... How far would you go to get what you want, desire or wish for?

Would you make it a reality or let it remain wishful thinking?

Climbing up the ladder in a company sometimes calls for hard work but it can also call for shrewdness and knowing who to suck up to and how to backstab. Well, that is the other side of the coin but it is hard work too, you know.

People who want to get somewhere and fast don't care how they do it and how many toes or heads they have to step on or crush. What matters is their success.

Some do it openly and don't care what others think and some do it on the sly, playing Mr. Niceguy in front of everyone while forming a plan of attack.

I don't know why I am writing about this but I have been accused before of backstabbing a colleague in one of my previous jobs. I am not the sort of person to do that, it is not ethical, something I was brought up not to do.

I suppose I will be accused of it in my present company. Sometimes words come out not the way it was supposed to be and make situations worse. And there is just no way things can be made right, especially if the people don't know you, don't know that you had your heart in the right place.

How far would you go? I wouldn't go so far just for a higher position.
