"Based on an actual experience related to me. No offence to anyone in particular, 'tis just in jest. Have fun.

The Auditor

He strode into the school with ease,
His lady colleague trailing behind;
With files and pens and faces grim
They headed for the head's office.

Oh, who could that be,
The teachers cried,
It's the auditors,
A knowing person replied.

Oh yes, you are right, it's the chief in person,
The clerk from the office reported,
With eyes as big and round.

Oh, woe is me,
Said the teacher in charge,
Whatever will happen to me?

The books were checked,
The accounts examined,
And the teacher strictly chastened.

Then the teachers, they gathered,
Sat and listened,
With respect for the person in front.

And then at one they left the school,
With files and pens and faces amused
By all that they had seen.

But truth to tell, it wasn't true,
He was only a clerk, not the chief,
The teachers, they did not know this,
And thought he looked like one.

But he was not to blame, you see,
He did not say he was the chief,
And how on earth did I know this?
Because he is my papa, you see.
