"People always talk about the generation gap brought on by different ages but is there a possibility of a gap within the generation itself? Of course there is!."

Death by Boredom

I have a confession to make, I am in my mid-thirties, still available but am still single simply because I don't want to die of boredom.

Serious! I never dated till two years ago and to-date, I have gone out with 30 guys within the age range 25 - 46 and I can say that 75% of them bored me after 5-10 minutes conversation. I would have a smile pasted on my face and thoughts like "What the heck am I doing here?", "What time is it now?", "Is it a proper time to tell him I wanna go home?" running through my head. Sorry, not your fault guys, it is just me but then my dad, a really wonderful guy commented that guys in their late 30s and older have already reached that stage where they have forgotten how to enjoy themselves in the simplicities of life and maybe they feel that it is beneath them and does not befit their status as the ever watchful eyes of society are upon them. Ouch! My dad's words, guys, not mine!

Well, guys, looks like if every girl like me is gonna think that way about you, I guess you gotta know what is it she is looking for, what she wants to talk about and what really turns her on. It's a whole new ball game altogether cause she is older, more matured and this time she definitely knows her mind. Well, I suppose you will say all this is merely a case of sour grapes that I am taking pot shots at you guys. Hey, feel free to state your case, take your best shot.

The younger ones were more interesting. They were...errr...well, young, brash, straightforward and energetic. They didn't mind coming with me on my long walks even on hot days. The older ones were too tired, didn't like parks that much and too busy being matured and there were those who were overdoing it being young and carefree.

Well, I have finally made up my mind...I am currently dating a guy 8 years my junior. After all, he fits my criteria -walks in the park, cuddling and fighting. What say you?
